About

Sustainable change happens when food fits your life, not the other way around. I work one-on-one with women navigating weight management, GLP-1 support, perimenopause, and menopause. The focus is always on building something personal. An approach informed by evidence, shaped by the realities of daily living, and designed to endure.

LAUREN COHEN, MS, RDN

I’m a registered dietitian with more than two decades of clinical experience spanning weight management, eating disorders, GLP-1 support, and perimenopause and menopause.

I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed my dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. My background includes extensive experience in eating disorders and bariatric nutrition, as well as advanced training in obesity and weight management, GLP-1 therapies, and midlife women’s health.

Today, my practice focuses on women in midlife and individuals using GLP-1 medications, often navigating both simultaneously.

I was drawn to nutrition early on, not because it felt simple, but because it rarely is. Food, health, body image, and our relationship with food are deeply personal and often complex. My role is to offer understanding and help make sense of that in a way that feels clear and manageable.

There was a period in my own life when too much mental energy was spent on food, rules, and trying to get it “right.” Being guided by professionals who understood both the science and the emotional weight shifted how I approach this. It reinforced that support, insight, and self-trust enable people to move forward.

That perspective continues to shape how I practice.

I work with individuals seeking a more meaningful approach to their health. Over time, decisions feel less reactive, patterns become more apparent, and nutrition assumes its place within daily life.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of my practice, I find joy in the things that make life feel fresh and a little more thoughtful. Time with family and friends, great conversation, and the small details that make everyday moments meaningful. I’m drawn to quotes and ideas that make me pause and shift my perspective, without trying to perfect anything.

I love bringing people together and feel most at home hosting friends and family, where good food and easy conversation naturally take the lead. Entertaining is informal but intentional, focused on creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. It’s an extension of how I approach nutrition and life.

Moments that feel effortless and memorable matter most to me. I often find that ease through simple structure: a good list with items to cross off and spaces that feel warm and inviting.

I love exploring interests just for the fun of it. I’ve taken classes in interior design and spent six months taking DJ lessons.

I’m not a neat freak, but I do love organizing and believe everything has a home. My daughters are convinced my interest in makeup and skincare has as much to do with organizing it as using it, which I don’t entirely deny.

I live in Bergen County, New Jersey, with my husband, Dan, our two daughters, Hayley and Brooke, and Casey, our Yellow Lab.
